Family-Placed Death Notice

CASH, Clara Clara Brown McCord Cash, age 93, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away on September 21, 2012 after a long illness. Funeral service will be held at Hapeville Methodist Church on October 6, 2012 at 4PM with Reverend Paige Pritchard officiating. Clara was born in Atlanta, Georgia to Robert McCord and Clara McCord on December 14, 1918. She graduated from Russell High School and attended North Georgia College. She worked at Eastern Air Lines for several years before getting married and starting a family. Clara is survived by her son, Bruce Cash, in Gainesville, Georgia, her son and daughter-in-law, Gordon and Jennifer Cash, in Huntsville, Alabama, and two grandsons, Harrison McCord Cash and David McCullough Cash, both living in Huntsville, AL. She is survived also by her sister, Betty Barnett, and her brother, Adair McCord, both in Atlanta. She is survived by many loving nieces and one nephew. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Cash and two sons, Steve Cash, and Edward Cash. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Clara McCord, her older brother, Robert McCord, her younger brother, James Edward McCord, and her younger sister, Mary Nell McCord. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to, Hospice Family Care, 3304 Westmill Drive, Huntsville, Alabama 35805.
