Family-Placed Death Notice

GASTON, Clara On March 6, 2010 Heaven gained another angel, Mrs. Clara Eugene (Baker) Gaston, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and sister. Mrs. Gaston age 88 was a native of East Point, GA. She and her husband Jewell were the owners and operators of Gaston Furniture and Appliances in College Park for over 30 years. Mrs. Gaston was a member of First Christian Church of Tyrone. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jewell Gaston and her son, Billy Gaston. Survivors include her 5 daughters: Deborah and husband Greg Etue of Newnan, Jean and husband Wayman Allison of Talking Rock, Marie Attenborough, Darlene and her husband Jeff Comer, Emma Travers all of Newnan, sister, Mable Findlay of Union City, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great- grandchildren. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at the First Christian Church in Tyrone from 12:30pm until service time at 2:00pm at the church. Billy Rowe officiating. Interment College Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Christian Church, 294 Jenkins Rd. Tyrone, GA 30290. Carmichael-Hemperly Funeral Home, Peachtree City.
