There are people in all families that command certain respect. Clide was one of those people in our family. For as long as I can remember, she was a person of great moral character and highly regarded as a matriarch. There was nothing that she was not willing to do for anyone.
It was stated that there was not enough time during her homegoing celebration to tell of her kind, giving heart and how much she has done for others.
I know that she is in heaven with her work buddy, "my Big Mama" Bertha.

Momma,
Momma is gone but I'm not alone. "When the Holy spirit controls our lives, he will produce this kind of fruit...Peace...." Galatians 5:22
This is a calm in the time of the Storm. I am at peace knowing I gave you the Flowers while you could smell them, no harsh words from my mouth, Time that I could give you, Love you could feel from me. Momma can't smell the flowers nor ear the words. But knowing that the visits at her hospital bedside, me recalling Eric's ballgame, the rides we took, me not making Peach Cobbler like she did, all the family outings or listening to her favorite gospel CD from the Church choir in which she sang lifted her spirits. The last words I spoke into Momma's ear was that I Love You and it's OK. I now have to try to pass on her legacy of clothing myself with the tenderhearted, mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience she had. And most of all "LOVE". Love is what binds us all together in perfect harmony.
Always in my heart

To the Anderson family:
We offer our condolences to you.
Miss Clide was such an inspiration to all of us.
She was my mama's buddy (Lillie B. Hill). She spoke words of
wisdom and love at mama's homegoing services on last June, 2007.
Now, they are together, just laughing and talking about everything!

This is to my brother fireman and his family. May God grace be with you through these troublesome times.
"Remember Me"
Remember me in quiet days
While raindrops whisper on your pane.
But in your memories have no grief,
Let just the joy we knew remain.
Remember me when evening stars
Look down on you with steadfast eyes.
Remember if once you wake
To catch a glimpse of red sunrise.
And when your thoughts do turn to me,
Know that I would not have you cry.
But live for me and laugh for me,
When you are happy, so am I.
Remember an old joke we shared;
Remember me when spring walks by.
Think once of me when you are glad
And while you live, I shall not die.

From the extended Virginia family, many condolences to your family. Even though many of us here never met Ms. Anderson, nothing but wonderful things were ever spoken by our daugther, sister, cousin and niece Tonya. Big Mama! Wow... so hard to believe that you are gone from this earth. The world as we knew it will never be the same and neither will Heaven because you are there now.
The love that you shared with everyone, whether you knew them or not, is the type of love that God Himself can only give.
The love that you showered me with was truly remarkable, thank you for loving me as your very own.
I love you so much and you will always mean the world to me. And as you always say, keep the main thang the main thang.. and the main thang now is that you are no longer in pain and you are forever free!
You are truly an Angel now although you have always been an angel to me. Thank you for the wisdom, love, patience, care, and guidance over the years.
Your grandbabies love you so much and miss you but we all know that you are living an eternal life with Almighty God and for that, we give him Honor and Praise. Big Mama you will be missed and loved always.
Love, your daughter Tonya and grandbabies Tiera, Vonte' and Vashaad Anderson

I have so many fun memories of Ms. Clide and I am just so pleased to have known her, and for her have been a part of my life especially during my younger years. Words cannot express just how I how felt when I heard of her passing. We can all just rest in the fact that she's lived such a good and wholesome life and now she with our father in heaven, this is certainly a journey in which she worked and thrived so diligently in, always about the master's business. Our prayers and thoughts are with the family as you all endure this difficult time. Sincerely, Shkita and Peter Gay!

Mrs Anderson, I have so many fond memories of you. All the things you did for me over the course of my entire life will never be forgotten. You treated me like your own son and I loved you like you were my own mom. This really hurts but, I have to remember that you left the land of the dying to go to the land of eternal life. I'll miss you forever. I'll love you forever. I will forever be thankful and grateful for all that you have done for me and been to me. God Bless You!

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
