Family-Placed Death Notice

DAVID SNODGRASS LATIMORE, JR. David Snodgrass Latimore, Jr., formerly of Look Out Mountain and Atlanta, passed away from cancer Thursday, August 19, 2004 at his home in Newnan. Mr. Latimore, the son of the late David S. and Mary Allen Latimore, was a native of Lookout Mtn. TN where he attended the Baylor School before entering the University of Alabama where he was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Following graduation he received his commission in the United States Navy as a Lieutenant (JG) and was stationed in California and Alaska. Upon completing of his Navy obligations he returned to Chattanooga, where he and his wife remained until 1973 when they moved to Atlanta where he continued his business career with Federal Home Loan Mortgage Bank. In 1983 Mr. and Mrs. Latimore moved to Newnan where Mr. Latimore started his own business, Latimore Appraisers, as a certified real estate appraiser in Coweta and surrounding Counties. He was a longtime member of The Appraisal Institute of America. A memorial service will be held Sunday, August 22 at 3:00pm, at Central Baptist Church, Newnan with Dr. Joel Richardson officiating. The family will receive friends at McKoon Funeral Home on Sunday, August 22 between 1:00 and 2:30pm. Survivors are his wife of thirty-five years, Catherine Duff Latimore; daughters Catherine Crowell "Cakki" Namorato (Jim), St. Paul, Minn., and Mary Duff Latimore Rayneri (Michael) of Greenville, S.C.; and his sister Mrs. Buckner Latimore Hughes of Chattanooga. The family requests that contributions be made to Lula Lake Land Trust, P.O. Box 4512, Chattanooga, TN 37405, West Georgia Hospice, or Central Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O.
