Family-Placed Death Notice
APPLEBEE, Donna Donna Lynn Willis Applebee age 61 of Norcross, GA died April 25, 2009. The funeral service will be held, Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at 3:00 pm at the Norcross First United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Peachtree Memorial Park, Norcross. The family will receive friends Monday, April 27, 2009 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Applebee, a member of the Norcross First United Methodist Church, was a Real Estate Broker, a member of the National Board of Realtors, and a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Club. She was the Executive Director of the Drum Corps International 1984 World Championships. She is survived by her husband, Charles F. Applebee, Jr. of Norcross; sons and daughters-in-law, Charles F. and Lenna B. Applebee, III, David Willis and Stephanie L. Applebee all of Sugar Hill; daughter and son-in-law, N. Kimberly and Dr. Dennis W. Askew of Greensboro, NC; mother, Norma M. Thomas of Atlanta; sister and brother-in-law, Martha Jane Willis and Joe Burgess of Marietta; grandchildren, Taylor, Alex, Jessi, Jonathan, Jackson, Katherine, Nicolas, Benjamin, Zack and Kirby. I was so sorry to hear about the passing of Donna. Donna helped my husband and I find a home here in Georgia from out of state. Donna left a huge impression on us. She even invited us to her home. Her energy, smiles and laughter have stayed with us. God bless Donna and her family.

My prayers are with your family. Donna was a member of our BSF class that meets at NFUMC. Also, as I prepare for the NFUMC Women's Dinner next week, I remember Donna hosting a table for us just last year. She will be missed here on earth, but will now be dining at the Lord's table for eternity.
