Dorsey Berfield Obituary
Family-Placed Death Notice
Mr. Dorsey L. Berfield, of Tucker, died Wednesday, August 31, 2005. A native of Le Roy, New York, he was a retired water systems salesman and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Surviving are his wife, Elaine H. Berfield, Tucker; his children, Pinky and Rev. Randy Palm, Lilburn and David and Kathy Berfield, Lawrenceville; sisters, Jane Getgen and Ruby Shirm, both of Williamsport, PA and Isabel Straub, St. Marys, PA; brothers, Gird Berfield, Greenville, SC and Fred Berfield, Florida; eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Following private interment, there will a Victory Celebration to honor Mr. Berfield's life at Rock of Ages Lutheran Church, Saturday, 12 Noon with Rev. Randy Palm officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Memorial Fund of Rock of Ages Lutheran Church, 5135 Memorial Drive, Stone Mountain, 30083 are requested. The family will receive friends Friday, 2-4 and 6-8 at Lowndes & McLane Funeral Home, Tucker, (770) 491-3021.
