Family-Placed Death Notice

Douglas Paul Hoffmann, 52, of Suwanee, GA., died peacefully on Oct 10, 2013 with his loving wife and soul mate of 28 years by his side. Doug was born in Pittsburgh, PA and earned his Bachelor's degree from Hiram College and went on to earn his PhD in Analytical Surface Science Chemistry in 1989 from the University of Pittsburgh. He enjoyed a very successful career doing what he loved. He is survived by his wife, Margery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the Lymphoma & Leukemia Society. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, Oct. 25, 2013 at The Church of the Good Shepherd located at 3740 Holtzclaw Rd, Cumming, GA. Arrangements by Byars Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Cumming, Georgia.
