In 1962, as a freshman at Georgia Tech, Professor Wheby was so kind as he helped me get through the course Engineering Graphics. He spent a lot of time teaching and coaching me on various elements of the course. He was patient, encouraging and a role model for me in how to be a good teacher.
I also enjoyed discussing the previous Saturday's Tech football games with Professor Wheby. He had such great insights about the game that I learned from him here, too.
My sincere condolences to Prof. Wheby's family. He was a wonderful man and my life has been enriched by knowing him.
