I did not know Gene (aka Patron Silver), but have watched his legacy unfold over the past few days...I have learned of his love for his children, family and friends, through the heart of my dear friend, ~Texas*Tammy~. May his family know of his love for them, and his friends hold on to the memories they have of him. Patron, may you rest in peace...and know you have touched the lives of those who genuinely cared for you.

My dearest Patron - Your sincere loving ways were felt in the hearts of many, and there will never be another that touches lives the way that you did. You were a blessing to know, I wish that we would have had more time for our friendship to grow. But you will never be forgotten, and I am hoping that the effect you had on all will guide them to live their lives more fully in honor of you and cherish those moments they have with loved ones - they way you cherished everyone in your life. May you RIP - you will be loved always!!

My friend Gene, you are missed but in a better place. In the four months that we rode together we became good buddies. You made an impression that will last a lifetime. In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

There are no words to really say how awesome of a man Gene was. You had to live life with him and know him to get the fullness of his heart. (Or be a myspace friend!) Everyone who came in contact with Gene instantly loved him. I will truly miss the fun times with him and am honored to have gotten to know him. My prayers go out to his family during this time. Gene, may your soul rest but also keep saying "Yeee*HAW!"

I had the privilege of meeting Gene on several occasions through my good friends who rode bikes with him regularly. We also became myspace buddies a little over a month ago and we've reached out to each other several times through there. He was a sweet, humble, and fun man who lived life to its fullest. He loved his family dearly and always spoke about his sons. He had a passion for riding his Harley and left this world doing what he loved to do. My condolences to Gene’s family. He will be truly missed by me and so many others.
