My dear friend and co-worker, I miss you dearly. Everyone at the Springs and Fulton think about you all of the time. You were a good fireman. At your services the Minister said that god sent you with a line (Tropical Storm Bobby) to put out the South Georgia Fires. I'm sure that my good friend and coworker Steven Solomon was on that line with you. Continue god's work my friend.

To the family & friends of Mr. Roberts - our deepest sympathy to you all at this time of your loss. It was for someone we loved that he risked his life and died. We too are hurting but cannot forget how brave he was and so willing to sacrifice - we honor him today and always for that kind of spirit and sense of duty. Words cannot express what it means to have men and women who live their life in such a way that they are an example to others, even after they are gone. Thank you for the blessing of this man of whom we never met but are forever greatful for the impact he made on those around him.

Be Still
Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

Felix was a quiet, unassuming guy, confident in his firefighting abilities. On several occasions, as we rode to fire headquarters,
Felix and I would talk about what was happening in our lives away from the dept. He had a great prospective on life. Felix knew his job very well and always seemed to make the right decision. He was always easy to be around. He always carried his share of the load. A good firefighter does that, and Felix always did it well.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and his fellow firefighters. He will be missed by all who knew him.

I would like to convey my deepest sorrow to the Roberts family.Me being a former police officer and my father was a firefighter with Atlanta for 25years,my twin brother who is a firefighter with Clayton co and Sandy Springs fire, and another brother who is with Atlanta,on behalf of all my family members I wish you peace, because that is where Felix is today.I know, believe me that their is nothing easy to say at this time, all I can say is thank you brother Felix for your bravery in someones time of need, although all who serve know the dangers they/we face on a daily basis but when it hits is hard.I didnot know felix per say but my brothers and father did and said he was a firefighters fireman and comming from that community it is the highest rewards one can say.I would like to invite you if when all the people and help along with support slow down if you still find yourself in need please dont hesitate to call on me.I will be glad to do whatever and however it takes.May God Bless his soul and I along with the country thank him for answering the bell for call to service.Firefighter Roberts answered his last bell on May 28 2007.Rest in Peace Brother

I worked with Felix at Station # 1 on Welcome All Rd. for a number of years, including his rookie year. We worked on different shifts, but swapped shifts whenever needed for school or just to have a break. Both of us hit it off from the get go. I guess, for one reason we began/started our dream job in our thirties. We got kidded alot about being old men, but preformed equal or better than the young guns.
Felix took great pride in his job as shown by the amount of schooling he went to in Forsyth. He loved the job.
Felix took great pride in his job, as shown by how he treated his co-workers. He loved the job.
Felix took great pride in his job, as shown by how he treated others when he was called to a fire or ems scene. He loved the job.
I've left Fulton Fire and I'm now in law enforcement in South Ga. But i still thought of Felix because of his positive attitude, how he treated others in their moment of need, and his smile. . Felix was brave and valiant.
Felix will be missed

Firefighter Roberts, thank you for your sacrifice. Thank you for the holidays away from your family. Thank you for the many nights sleep was not yours to have. Thank you for your kind words when someone needed to hear that everything would be ok; thank you for being there to help. Thank you for waving at the child who looked up in awe as the fire engine drove by. Thank you for smiling and speaking with the many school children who came by the station to visit. Thank you for caring enough to be the ultimate hero, a firefighter. Rest in peace, Firefighter Roberts, rest in peace.
To the family and friends of Firefighter Roberts, thank you for your sacrifice. Thank you for understanding that the holidays not spent with you were spent protecting us. Thank you for supporting Firefighter Roberts when he made the decision to choose a career that meant sleepless nights. Thank you for understanding when Firefighter Roberts didn’t want to talk about the tough calls; thank you for listening when he did. Most of all, thank you for your Felix, our hero. God bless you as He helps you through this difficult time.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
