Fernando Foyo Obituary
Family-Placed Death Notice
Dr. Fernando Foyo, Ph.D., age 89, died January 7, 2006. A native of Cuba, Dr. Foyo was an attorney and diplomat there and came to the United States in 1961. He was employed with the US Government in the Inspector General's office investigating insurance fraud. Dr. Foyo was an avid golfer and attended The Cathedral of Christ the King. He will always be remembered as a dedicated father who loved his children and family. Dr. Foyo is survived by his wife, Roberta Foyo; a son, Fernando Segundo Foyo; a daughter, Mary Ann F. King; stepdaughter, Connie Smith; brother, Jose "Tonito" Foyo; and eight grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Miami, FL. Arrangements by H.M. Fernando was a wonderful friend, like a father figure to me. His wife Roberta was my mother's best friend for a number of years. Fernando will be missed greatly. Our love to Roberta always.
