To my dear old friends Pam and Ed I think of you often and wish I could locate you to tell you how much compassion I feel for you both. I met Forrest twice when he was a boy and I know how wonderful a part of your lives he was. As a father myself I know what a joy having a son is and how horrible losing him has got to be. I wish there were something I could say or do to heal the pain of this terrible loss for you, but I think that only your love for one another and keeping your memory of Forrest alive can help ease your sorrow to any degree.
Love to you always, Michael

So sorry to hear of Forrest's passing. I have fond memories growing up with him in San Diego. He will be deeply missed. I wish I had stayed in contact.

Dear Pam and Ed,
I have been trying to find you for years but to no avail. I have tried over the years to call you in various places in Florida, Texas and New Mexico which showed up as addresses for you, but never got an answer or a lead to you. Just out of habit or because something got in my ear, I just searched again and immediately found this notice for Forrest.
I am overwhelmed and so saddened by this terrible news that I have a chill in my solar plexus. I feel so bad for you to have lost that wonderful child who I only met twice as a boy but whose photos I still have. As a parent of a 14 year old myself, I know what love for one's child is as well as the fear of him being hurt or killed. However, I cannot imagine the horror and anguish of losing him so young as you just have. That is something that is not supposed to happen to parents. I also feel a terrible sense of loss for him dying to young.
My heart goes out to you both with the hope that somehow together you can cope with this loss that nobody should have to face.
I'm going to try and find out once and for all where you are so I can call, but if I can't, I am in the phone directory here and you can email me at myklr at yahoo dot com.
Love, peace and healing to you both,
Michael

We always knew Forrest to be a very kind and considerate person. He was a blessing to many people. A group of his friends met today in the Atlanta area to honor his memory. We learned so many wonderful things about him. I wish I had known him better. He was a good man. Praying that God will comfort his family and friends.
