I just found out my best cruising buddy an friend has went on a permanent vacation, an i also know this place is heaven. the first time i met frank was on a cruise ship where i was standing totally lost an did not know where my husband was, we had gotten seperated upon arriving at the ship, frank had introduced hisself to me at airport an we laughed because he was a smith, the same as me. at the ship he told me he would not leave me until they had found my husband an he didnt, we cruised several times with Frank after this cruise, he always watched over me an was a great buddy to my husband, i feel like i have lost a very dear friend, even though we only talked by phone an several cruises later. there is no way to describe Frank, he was so witty, an charming, carefree a free sprit. he never ran out of things to say an he was always testing my trivia, he would go shopping with John an i on the islands an he would say, now JOHN, lets just sit here an keep a eye on Lois an let her shop. He knew that i loved to shop. an he was very patient, never got in a hurry. god, he will be missed, he really loved his cruising , an his favorite person in the world was his sister Bonnie, he spoke so highly of her an bragged on her so much, i could tell he was just crazy about her. Frank had so much love in his heart, i know you are up in heaven Frank with god an i hope he lets you play captain of his big cruise ship one day. you will be missed, i feel like i have a small hole of emptyness in my heart an John is so upset, he cannot even look at the pc. peace be with you friend an i will never take another cruise that your presents wont be felt nor your laughter missed. bonnie i am so sorry, he loved you so much, if John or I can do anythig please let me know, my address is 8914 westport rd. Louisville, ky. 40242. i have several pics of Frank from cruises if you would like them, just send me your address. godbless you an your family.

Heaven has gained a great man, friend and story teller. I am what Frank never was; at a loss for words. I will miss Frank and his laugh but I will always have many great memories from working and hanging out with him.

We met Frank about 6 years ago on a 14 day cruise. Since then we have cruised several times together. Cruising will not be the same without him. We will miss his quick wit, jokes and his assistance at Trivia. Frank you are in our prayers, Rest in Peace. Bonnie, we are so sorry for your loss. He loved you dearly.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Bonnie. Frank was a long time family friend- we even referred to him as "Uncle Frank". I know that my parents will miss Frank and their weekly phone calls. May God's peace surround you in your time of loss.

I am shocked to hear of Frank's passing. I met him 25+ years ago in the early days of working in the landscape industry. He and I became good friends. Although I lost touch and haven't seen him for several years, I have often thought of him and thought of trying to contact him for old times sake. At any rate, my sympathy goes out to the family.

Frank Smith made the world a better place with his sunshine. He was an expert in his field, though he never flaunted it. He stuck with my family and me no matter what. He just made me feel better for knowing him, and working alongside him I learned a lot about plants and life, and it was always fun, listening to his stories. Bonnie and Norman, y'all are in my heart right alongside Frank, because you are in about every third sentence I recall he said.

The thoughts written here are wonderful. What a true picture of him, keeping the laughs going around in Heaven.

I've known Frank for nineteen years. Went on many Ski Club trips and Adventure Club trips with him. One I will never forget was a camping trip with the Adventure Club. My Dad was on that trip as well. We went tubing in Helen. That night around the campfire my Dad, Frank and one other guy took turns telling jokes. The show went on for a long time. Frank knew hundred of jokes and was a good story teller. I will miss his laugh. He was a good man and will be missed by many.

I've known Frank since 4th grade at Dunwoody Elementary school. We were best friends and I have many great childhood memories of Frank. After graduation from high school, I didn't see Frank again until our 40th high school class reunion back in July 2009. I really miss not knowing Frank during our adult years, but was hoping to rekindle our friendship. Frank was one heck of a nice guy! We had a lot of great times together at church, camping, fishing, etc.. Bonnie, I'm so sorry for your loss, Frank will be sorely missed! You are in our prayers.

Frank will always have a very special place in my heart -- as my very first boyfriend (age 12) and for introducing me to his sister Bonnie, my best friend! He is missed and loved!

I only knew Fank for a short period of time. However, I always found myself comfortable around him due to his down to earth nature. He was always ready for a weekend out of town or a longer trip away to distant places. He will surely be missed by all who had the fortune of knowing him.
