Fred Corley Obituary

FRED ROBERT CORLEY

October 28, 1926 ~ April 4, 2010

Fred was one in a family of nine children, and grew up in Winnipeg. He had a fine life, served in the Merchant Marine in WW II, had a variety of interesting and enjoyable jobs during his lifetime, and loved volunteering at the Food Bank in his retirement.

He was a compassionate man with a great sense of humour.

He will be sorely missed by the people who loved him so much: his wife of almost 60 years, Hazel, his son Martin, of whom he was so proud, Martin?s wife Colleen and their three fine children, Nick, Alex and Paisley, his beloved daughter and granddaughter Barb and Annaliese Goulet, his special daughter Germaine, her husband Jay and special daughter Josephine, and her great sons Robert and Mitchell; also his twin sister Frieda, her husband John and many nieces and nephews, all of whom he was very fond.

Sadly, Fred was predeceased by his eldest son, Michael Robert, in 2007.

Fred suffered a relatively short period of illness and died in the arms of his wife and daughter Barb.

A gathering of family, friends and acquantances will be held on Saturday, April 10 in the ?Lounge?, main floor Kamloops United Church, 3rd Avenue and St. Paul Street, between 2 and 4 pm. Come along and share your stories of Fred with others.
