Dr. Strickland became like a member of the family after delivering the first of my three sons. Always kind and respectful when he smiled and called his patients "sug". I feel blessed to have had him help me during wonderful and challenging times in my life.

I just learned of the passing of Dr. Strickland from Faye Ellis. It was truly a shock. He had been on my mind lately, then I get this news. He delivered two of my children (my son in 1975 at Northside Hospital, and my daughter 11/8/83--the first baby born at Norh Fulton Hospital). I, also, worked with him some as a nurse at Northside Hospital. He is the true discription of a physician, a friend and man of God. My condolences and prayers are for the family. You should be very proud. Thomas and Gail Vaughn

First he was my physician then my friend for over 35 years. He always had time for me as a patient and as a friend. I cherish my many conversations with him and will always remember his genuine kindness.

I'm very sorry, my sincerest condolences from the Yates family.

I think we are related. I've been looking for children of Grady/Hazel Strickland Sr, used to live in Whigham, GA - my parents used to take us up there and we'd fish and have a fish and cheese grits cookout.

I found this obit when doing a google search for grady strickland, whigham, ga because my sister was interested in the family tree Ms. Hazel did for the Yates family.

I would love to hear from any one of you. Please email me...

Grady Strickland was my doctor for many years! On a visit to his office once I was going through a very difficult time. He realized this and sat me down for a talk! I remember they always started out with that old southern gentleman, "suga!" He gave me a lecture and a quiz about LOVE! It was about 15 years ago and I remember it to this day! I repeat it to my friends and have also given the same talk with my 20 year old daughter! My prayers are with all of Dr. Strickland's family , I know he will be missed! Sincerely, JoAnna Benson Kanadjian
