Guerry Moore Obituary
Guerry Roland Moore, age 81, of Atlanta, GA, passed away at his home on October 16, 2025. Guerry was preceded in death by his parents, James Felix and Elise Waller Moore; and his sister, Carole Jane Moore, all of Atlanta. Guerry attended Georgia Military Academy, the University of Georgia and the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University. Guerry practiced law with Swift, Currie, McGhee & Hiers in Atlanta for over two decades before retiring in the early 1990s. Guerry is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara Moore; his daughter, Daphne Moore Platford and her husband, Jim; his son, Gregory King Moore; his sister, Judith Moore Radovich; and his grandsons, of whom he was extremely proud, Ernest Banks Platford and Brooks O'Callaghan Platford. A private, graveside memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at Arlington Memorial Cemetery in Sandy Springs. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate any donations be made to the Vacation Bible Program at the Church of the Apostles in Atlanta, GA.
