He was more than just our family medical doctor, he gave personal advice. After he put my broken arm in a cast, He inspired me to straighten up, be a man, and finish college. I did, BS Psychology.

Dear Mrs. Cheves,

Dot Royal sent me the obituary from the newspaper regarding Dr. Cheves. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. As you know, he was one of my mom's favorite people. She always looked forward to coming into the office to see him and to see you and bring vegetables. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Love Suzanne Elsberry

Dear Mrs. Cheves and family,
We are so saddened to hear of the illness and death of Dr. Cheves. My parents, Jim and Sue Barfield, held Dr. Cheves in great regard, and had a long relationship with his practice. They are both gone now, Jim in 1995 and Sue in 1999, but both benefited from his care for many years.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
Cathy (Barfield) and Rick Holcombe

I have cut Dr. and Mrs. Cheves for a few years now. I will miss him, I heard so many great stories from his days as a doctor. He still had a great since of humor, and was so patient with us getting him wet when we shampood him! Thank you Harry for being a great part of my life. I know everyone in heaven is enjoying your antiques! Mary, you are in my thoughts and prayers. I love you!

Harry and I worked together at South Fulton. He was a superb doctor, full of common sense and humor, and a pleasure to be around and know. A tremendous loss to his family and friends and community. Never forgotten by throngs of patients, doctors and pals. So sorry. God Bless....

My family has known Dr.Cheves and Ms. Mary since he first started practice and we love them both. They were so sweet to my parents as they got older and I appreciate that so much. Dr. Cheves will be very much missed by many people on earth but Heaven is better off with his presence and I am so thankful he is now painfree! He suffered much too long.

My Mother was a patient of Dr. Cheves for many years and a better doctor is rare to find.

My Mother and I will miss him and pray that God will bless his family and carry them through these sad times.

I worked with Dr. Cheves at South Fulton Hospital and he was one of the most interesting people I have met in my lifetime. His patients loved him and so did all those who knew him. My deepest sympathy to the family.
