Dr. Foster was the best listener and understanding person I had ever met and a wonderful doctor who was there when I needed him the most. If it wasn't for Dr. Foster I would have been able to get my last open heart surgery. I just wished that I didn't have to change doctors because of my age because I would love to have him as my heart doctor now.

There's not a day that goes by that Braylin talks about you! You made such a strong impact on the children and the community. We will always love you and you will always be in our hearts! Nobody will ever be able to take your place!

From the moment that my two sons had their first visit with Dr. Foster I trusted him with their health. He was always compassionate when they were hurting and helped try to make them smile with his "kissing disease" comment. Every time I pass his old office I think of him with fond memories. Continued sympathy for his family for the loss of this kind man.

I was a patient of Dr. Foster for over half my life and I cried when I had to change doctor's because I to old to see him anymore. If it wasn't for him in November 2002 I wouldn't have been able to get my last heart surgery just wish he could be here to see me now. The best doctor I ever had that would listen to me. God got a special angle now and I will always be grateful for what he did and my thoughts go out to his family.

My daughter was a patient of dr foster and we was out of town when we learned he had passed. Im sadden at this news cause he was the light of his industry. He was devoted to his patience till the point my baby cried for him when she didnt feel well. And now that he has passed she cried helplessly because we couldnt make the home going celebration. We love u now and forever. My daughter will forever have the kissing disease (inside joke) and we will miss the balloons that expresses i love my doctor.

Today we found out at our Dr visit that Dr. Foster had not retired. But has passed away. The devastation quickly hit me as we waited for the new Doctor to come in. I knew that I had to tell my children who are now 5,2,and 1 that the only doctor that they knew and had grown to love so much was in heaven with God. Dr. Foster was the best pediatrician I've ever met. The time he took with the kids and to answer my questions were reassuring that he would have always been my children's pediatrician. Even some of my friends had Dr. Foster as there pediatrician when they were babies. My children we're not happy and screamed when i told them he was gone. But I told them that although we all selfishly wanted you to be here. That God needed more. Dr. Foster you will be truly missed and We are honored to have known you.

Our family is saddened by the passing of Dr. Foster. How blessed we were to have him as our Pediatrician for daughters, Cam & Julie in the late 70s & 80s. He was an exceptional doctor and we all loved him. No matter what the problem (thankfully nothing ever serious) he always knew immediately what was going on and how best to treat it. So reassuring to me as a young Mother of two babies. Our girls fondly remember him asking "Do you have the Kissing Disease or Hong Kong Flu"? Asked with his effectionate smile. Leaving with the balloon stating "My Doctor loves me!" was the prize on each visit and one extra for the sister who wasn't there! I would always recommend him to other mothers with much pride and confidence. On occasions I was privileged to meet and visit with his lovely wife and always enjoyed him talking proudly about son, Harry and daughter, Betsy. We send our love and sympathy to this family and pray God's comfort in knowing our loss is Heaven's gain!

Oh my where do I start. I just found out today that Dr. Foster passed away. Of course I cried a bit, but soon I had tears of joy. He was a Pediatrician to both my girls. My oldest is now 21. I always knew he was special, but after reading his obituary, I understand even better now. He was truly a servant of God!! My prayers are with his family, friends and the many children that had the opportunity to be his patient.

July 7, 2017

I am so sorry for your loss. This is a major loss for our family also. Dr. Foster was heaven sent to my children. My children grew up with Dr. Foster. They all loved him so much. He was such a sweet man with a kind heart and loved children an what he did he will be truly missed. There are not doctors like Dr. Foster anymore and no one will ever come close. Keeping your family lifted in prayer.

I'm so sorry for your loss. He will be so greatly missed by so many. He was my Dr, my children's Dr. and my grand children's Dr. Like so many countless other families, he wasn't just our Dr., He was our friend. Thanks for allowing him to be that for all of us. We love him so, and miss him too. Our blessed assurance is that if we follow his example, we will see him in heaven. May God give you peace in this time of sorrow. I met Dr. Foster 20 years ago, the day after Taylor was born. He walked into the hospital room and examined her. After telling me that she was perfect he said, "I can continue to be her doctor if you will have me." From that moment on, I knew I liked him. I had never had a pediatrician, my uncle was my doctor. But In that moment Dr. Foster reminded me of my grandad, I smiled and asked, how do to sign up to keep you.
We have gone through a lot in the past 20 years. We added 3 boys, and he showed up to the hospital the day each one was born to check them out in person. Through many broken bones, allergies, ENT referrals, an autism diagnosis, fevers, chills and coughs Dr. Foster was there. Even if it meant calling me back at 3am. He knew that I didn't like medication and he always accused me of trying to put him out of business. I was sad when I received the letter that he was going to retire on April 15th of this year. Now I am even more sad that he only had 2 months and 15 days.
To the man that loved children, rhymes, and blowing up balloons, Rest In Peace. You are a legend.

Dr. Foster took care of me as a child for many years. I will never forget his famous words to me when I would see him in the office. "You must have the kissing disease, the kissing disease." That would always make mom and I laugh. Dr. Foster will always be missed and I had never forgotten how sweet he was. I had always looked forward to a doctor visit knowing I would see him and receive a balloon. Prayers and thoughts for his family and friends.

I am sorry I couldn't not attend. You are such a special man! You gave your life to the community! You always made me feel so safe when Brandon King had one of his seizures. Or 1 of the many times that Blake broke his arms. Words can't express how you will and are already missed. Praying for Emily, your children and grandchildren. I know it's got to be hard on all of you! Please know he never got the recognition he deserved! He's one of a kind! Heaven just gained the best! Praying for you all! Thank you for giving us all your time Dr. Foster. We love you !

My wife & I raised 3 boys in the S. Gwinnett area near Lithonia during the 80's, 90's, and early 2000's. "Dr. Poster" (as our boys called him when they were still too young to manage exact pronunciation) was always a blessed presence to treat a sick child, counsel a frightened mom, or encourage with a "standard" joke. He seemed always to understand that medical practice isn't just about the science (which he certainly had mastered)... but also about caring for people. We'll always be thankful for how he cared for & blessed our family.

My prayers are with the family on this huge loss! Dr. Foster and Mrs. Foster were my first bosses when I worked at Four Oakes Medical Center in 1973 and 74 during high school before going to nursing school. He was such an inspiration to me. I recall one of his patient's had to have open heart surgery at Cleveland Clinic and he accompanied the patient to Cleveland, Ohio. He truly was one of a kind! He will be missed!
