I never met Heather, although I've been friends with her father for decades. Reading about her awards and accomplishments, I realize what an incredible human being we have lost. G-D bless Steve and Kathie and the entire Alhadeff family..
Sincerely,

My heartfelt sympathies to her family, friends and co-workers. Heather and I worked together at the City of Atlanta and I found her to be a positive force in designing and laying the foundation to a more livable Atlanta. It was a pleasure and honor to have known her - she will be greatly missed.

Heather was one of the strongest, kindest, most passionate people I have ever known. Her impact on Castleberry Hill and the City of Atlanta will be felt for years to come. We will always miss and love her and send tons of love to the family. We can all take a page out of Heather's book, be better and do better, us doing that continues her legacy.

Heather was a natural leader with an infectious optimism. As a planner myself whenever I would get frustrated by Atlanta politics, Heather would shine some positive light on things and make me feel inspired again. She was insanely smart, endlessly energetic and absolutely selfless. Her spirit left a huge mark on everyone she met. She will be very, very missed.

I met you through my baby sister, she always did know the coolest people. These pics popped up on my memories Saturday morning. I remember because it reminded me of my last thought on the call we had just a few weeks ago about the Arterial RT project and that was, "we have got to nail down a date." I guess I like to think that that was your way of sending a lil goodbye to me and our time in each other's lives as young college kids with big big dreams. You were always a force and I will never forget you. I'm going to St. George Island later this week, the old GSU crew has all been talking and remembering about Spring Break 92. I'll be stopping by that old campground, will be thinking about you. Sending my deepest condolences to Miguel, Aquiles, Jean, Steve, and the entire family.

Always the smartest in the room, Heather was wonderful to work with. I'll miss her energy and enthusiasm and even her good natured teasing when I would drive somewhere! You were admired and loved, Heather. Rest well.

Heather, peace be with you. Whether working together or coordinating projects, you always brought such conviction and skill to everything you did. I'm a better planner because of your work and leadership, and Atlanta is a better place because of you as well.

I first met Heather in 1997, when she was an intern at Midtown Alliance and I was the same at MARTA. We hit it off, and within weeks, I had joined her at Midtown Alliance. That move made the the planner that I am today. I owe so much of who I am today to Heather, and Atlanta is a better place because of her.
