Ian Alexander Obituary
Family-Placed Death Notice
Ian Michael Alexander, 49 of Cumming, GA died Sunday, November 5, 2006 at John Glancy Hospital in Duluth, GA. A native of Montreal, Canada, he had lived in this area for the past 13 years. He was a member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario. He also loved to play hockey with his son. Mr. Alexander is preceded in death by his father, William Gordon Alexander. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Anita Alexander; mother, Betty Alexander of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada; daughters Amy and Emma Alexander of Cumming, GA; son, Peter Alexander of Cumming, GA; brother, Gord Alexander of Toronto, Canada; sister, Janet Alexander of Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 10, 2006 from 11:00 - 1:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, November 10, 2006 at 1:00 pm at the McDonald and Son Funeral Home Chapel. Dear Alexander Family – My sincerest hopes and concerns for you and your welfare during this difficult time. Although I knew Ian for less than a year, it was very evident in our many conversations how much he cared for and loved each of you. I am sure that each of you will have your own special memories of Ian; mine will include his weekly Saturday/Sunday projects and my introduction to “British shanties”.
