Family-Placed Death Notice
SMITH, Iramechia Homegoing Services for Pastor Iramechia Smith of Ellenwood, GA, will be held Friday, June 13, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at the Westview Cemetery; 1680 Westview Dr. S.W., Atlanta, GA 30310, with Pastor Wanza Whitaker, officiating. Pastor Smith leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of seventeen years, Pastor Willie Smith; three daughters, Adrian L. Reid (Sarah James), Helena L. Caldwell (Michael Adams), and Willette C. Smith, McGhee (Jordan McGee); one sister, Corrisia Taylor; twelve grandchildren; two great-grandsons, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, the Delta Family, other family and friends. The cortege will assemble at 2716 Brenston Drive, Ellenwood, GA 30294 at 10:00 AM. Gus Thornhill's Funeral Home, Inc., 404-768-2993-4.

Mechia Meesh, will truly be missed. She was a very strong person always willing to help. Mechia and I met at Delta Air Lines in the SkyMiles Service Center. I will always remember our conversations about family and life in general. My condolences go out to the Smith Family. Rest assure knowing she was a very special person.

My prayers go out to Mechia's family, may God give you comfort and peace in the days to come. I was shocked to return from vacation to find out about her passing. I worked with Mechia in CSD and will miss seeing her in the morning. I do believe she is truly at Peace now.

I worked with Mechia at Delta for many years in the SkyMile Department and then in International reservations, she always had a funny story, or an encouraging word. I'll miss seeing her. She will be missed.

Mechia will be missed. I will be praying for peace to reign during this time. Mechia is at peace, her spirit at rest, she is home. She was a delight to all of us who knew and loved her, becuase she gave so much.

I wish to express my sincere condolences to the family. Mechia had a special place in my heart and will be greatly missed. She was like a mother to me during the years we worked together. I enjoyed listening to her stories, her jokes, her advice and I will especially miss her laugh. She was always so proud of children and grandchildren and loved talking about them. My heart goes out to all of you.

Blessed are they that morn for they shall be comforted. mesha was a wonderful person who did not mind giving you a word of encourgement or letting you know that God is stillin control when every thing seemed out of place. she will be missed God sent an angel to visit with us for just a season.

Mechia and I worked the same shift. We often times came in right around the same time and whoever was here first we would ask have you made the coffee yet? Mechia will truly be missed, she was my prayer warrior, my advisor, and my mentor. To the Smith family, I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

There are no words that could sooth your aching hearts, only know that God has called one of his Angels home. It was a pleasure to know Mrs. Mechia she was loving, kind and always in good spirit. Our last conversation was about one of our favorite things shoes. We browsed thru the shoe collection picking out the shoes that we simply had to have. Just to remember her spirit brings a smile to my face. May God put his angels around you all and give you strength to make it through this very difficult time. I will keep you all in my prayers.

Mechia was a very nice person. We started our career at Delta at the same time. We took our very first trip together to Las Vegas. I will never forget that she got in the money machine, we had a great time. Mechia truly Love her family. We also had some things in common about our back problems. She was also a proud grandmother, she talked about the grandlkids a lot. I will have you'll in my prayers. Mechia will be missed by many.

My condolences goes out to the Smith family, loved ones, and friends. Mechia loved her family more than she loved herself. I worked with Mechia in the Delta Skymiles Dept. and her spirit was religious, ambitious, and strongly determined to achieve greatness. Mechia gave 100% from praising God to loving her family. Pictures, nor words cannot express her feelings towards her family. God realized a job well done and she has gone to claim her reward. Meanwhile family, your heart is sad because she is not physically in a place you cant see, but her love and presence will remain in all of our hearts that we can feel. A loving wife, mother, sister, and friend. We miss you Mechia!

I worked with Mechia in the SkyMiles department back in 1997-98, and remained in touch even after we left the area. I was so happy this past year when our career paths crossed again and we found ourselves working on the same floor. I always enjoyed bumping into her in the hallways and sharing our good news. When I spoke with her for what would be the last time just a few days ago, she seemed so joyful and happy, especially for her daughter of whom she was so very proud. You were her light, and I know you will all miss her deeply, as will those of us at Delta whom she touched daily.

Please accept my deepest sympathies. I worked with Mechia at Delta, and became close to her. I loved Mechia, and she will be sorely missed. She visited me when I was in the hospital 2 years ago, and her faith and love helped me through a very difficult time. She was a wonderful woman and I miss her so much already.

I had to pleasure to know and work with Mechia at Delta Airlines in the SkyMiles Dept. What I remember most about her was her willingness to get the job done. Mechia was always kind and patient and always went the extra mile for her customers. She is a jewel that will never be forgotten. The quality I always admired most in Mechia was her warm, friendly, and gracious nature. Even during the stress of the day, she never let that affect how she treated her coworkers.
