Dear Joyce, Daniel, and family

I met Jack and Daniel in Georgia at the class for the data report CD. I talked with both of them numerous times after that when I needed help with the project. When I saw them together teaching the class, I thought they were the cutest father and son team, and when I talked with them, I knew they were definitely the smartest team ever. Each time I talked with Jack, he was more than patient with me, and I could always "hear" him smiling.

As others have already said, I only knew him briefly but he was always there to answer any question I had, and he and Daniel were both genuinely sincere in helping all of us that needed their guidance. I know that his family will miss him, and I hope you know that people who knew him briefly or for a long period of time will be equally lacking his presence.

It was an honor to know such a fine man.

Dear Joyce, Daniel, & Family,

I was very shocked and saddened to hear of Jack' sudden passing. I did not know him well, but anyone could see how much he loved his family. I know this will be a very difficult time for you and I am praying for God to give you the strength and comfort you will need in the days ahead.

Dear Joyce, Daniel & family

I didn't know Jack real well, however, when I had the opportunity

to talk or socialize with him it was an uplifting experience. His

demeanor was gentle and comforting.

He was a real gentleman that will

definitely be missed.

Jack's capacity to learn and quickly master new methods and technoloy was just amazing to those of us who have to first read the manual. He had a special gift. But what we remember most about Jack was his love of family and friends and his gentle sense of humor. He was a true gentleman. May Joyce and Daniel find comfort in knowing what a fine person Jack was to so many.

Dear Joyce and Daniel,

Sincere condolences in your loss.

Jack was one of the most encouraging and positive colleagues. I have always looked forward to the meeting him at USGS and ESRI GIS conferences over the years and will miss his good ideas, and his smile.

Jack was a kind and gentle soul with a sweet smile. His passing has left a gapping hole in the lives of his family and friends. But, we surely are blessed and all the better for having known him. You both will be in my thoughts and prayers.

We will all miss Jack greatly as a wonderful friend and coworker. My favorite memory of Jack is watching him play on the floor with my infant son who he was babysitting. We want to extend our deepest sympathy to Joyce and Daniel and the rest of his family.

I am so sorry to hear of Jack's sudden passing. I have worked with Jack for 27 years in Georgia. He was an intelligent and helpful coworker who contributed much to improving understanding of Georgia's water resources. He always had a friendly and helpful disposition. We all will miss him greatly. I wish you strength in this time of sorrow.

Dear Joyce and Daniel,

I'm so sorry for your loss, but know that you will always have fond memories of Jack. Jack always seemed to have a smile on his face whenever I saw him at high school, Tech, or the District. He was always willing to help out on complex projects at work and even got Daniel involved. Jack will be missed by his colleagues and friends at the USGS and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Jack typifies loyalty and gentleness as much as any man I've ever known. Full of principle, yet the principle of love overwhelming all the others.

The relationship of father and son, between Jack and Daniel, as adults, is the closest I have ever witnessed; and one that stands as a witness of such love.

I have worked closely with Jack for the last 7 or so years. I did not realize how much I found comfort in his presence and friendship; how much I would miss him. This, above and in addition to all his professional excellence, I will miss.

My prayers are before G-d Almighty for the Alhadeffs at this time.
