Janice Baker Obituary
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Janice "Sweet Dee" Baker on Friday, February 28, 2025. Dee was a resident of both Braselton, GA and Sandestin, FL. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Emery Baker; daughters, Tandy and Amanda; and sister, Frankie. She had a wonderful marriage to Emery and they raised three children together, Tandy, Amanda and Greg. Dee worked over 20 years in accounting and she and Emery experienced years of travel together enjoying beautiful locations both abroad and in the U.S. As avid Auburn fans they would go to football games and watch all Auburn sports together cheering loud for their team. Dee was always a proud loving wife to Emery, wonderful Mother of three, adored Memaw to seven grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was quick witted and always made you laugh and feel at ease. She could see straight through you and before you knew it, you were telling all your secrets. She loved to celebrate the Holidays, but Christmas was in her heart all year round.
Please remember "Sweet Dee" with all the love and joy she brought to our family and friends. She was one of a kind and the most loved wife, Mother and Memaw to all. We celebrate her wonderful life.
There will be a private Family Celebration of Life.
In lieu of flowers, please give to your favorite charity in remembrance of "Sweet Dee" Baker. Thank you for your love and support.
