CRONON, Jeff Jeff Cronon passed away Friday, February 20 at Gwinnett Medical Center following a nearly decade-long battle with ALS. Jeff is survived by his wife of 31 years, Angela; their children Lauren, Alex and his wife Hillary; siblings Steve and DJ; and his mother, Maxie. Jeff was born in Atlanta to Alfred and Maxie Cronon, December 15, 1958. Throughout his youth, Jeff enjoyed athletics and excelled in competitive swimming. After graduating from Tucker High in 1976, Jeff graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in computer science. Jeff married Angela Fiddler in 1983 and the couple raised their children in the Peachtree Corners area. Jeff enjoyed a successful business career and was an executive with Smart Document Solutions when he was diagnosed with ALS in 2006. Despite his illness, Jeff continued to enjoy frequent visits from friends and family, watching the Bulldogs play, and having Simon, the family cat, sit in his lap. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 28, at 3:00 p.m. at Crowell Brothers Funeral Home & Crematory. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish to honor Jeff can make a contribution toward a memorial bench on Saint Simon's Island where he and Angela had hoped to retire.
