I just found out about Jeff's death and wanted to express my heartfelt condolences to his friends and family.
I was a classmate of Jeff's at Emory University and we lived together at the AEPi House. There were about six or seven of us who hung out together and Jeff was easily the smartest of us. All of us were pre-med or pre-dent - that Jeff was one of the few that actually made the grade is not surprising. I still remember driving down Clifton Road and cutting through Shepherd's Lane to get to Lavista Road and Jeff always pointing out where he grew up.
Jeff was a terrific person - funny, smart and a pretty good basketball player, too. He was honest and had integrity.
We had some really great times together. My condolences to his family.

I´m still reeling from Dr. Jeff´s passing. He was my dentist for 30+ years. I guess I took for granted he´d always be singing and joking around with us. Still miss him. Rest in peace friend!

I have been a patient for years. Finally beyond the pandemic, I called today about a dental appointment and learned that Dr. Baumrind had passed away. I am crushed. He was all of what was special about a good person. My mortal fear of the dentist was smoothed away with the humor and compassion of Dr. Baumrind. I referred him to everyone I could think of because he truly was a good dentist. I will miss him as I'm sure everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. God bless him and his beautiful family. May they be blessed always.

I’m devastated to hear this news. I was a patient of Dr B for almost 10 years until 2019. He was such a bright spot. I loved going to the dentist. I called to make an appointment and learned of his passing. I send my deepest condolences to his children and grand children. He loved you so much. He talked about you all the time. I pray you have found some measure of comfort in the memories you shared. I will never forget him.

I did not realize Dr Baumrind had passed until just a few weeks ago....I met Dr Baumrind while working at Georgia Pacific across the Street, He was recommended by a co-worker that was 16 years ago and have enjoyed my visits with him and his daughter Sarabess (if one can enjoy going to the dentist...lol), but he was so full of life and you could tell that he really enjoyed his work and the people around him, he will be missed. I am glad Sarabess will be continuing the practice as it adds a little bit of continuity to the otherwise uncertain world of today

I guess I didn't get the memo but just found out today about Dr Baumrind's passing. I have been a patient for over ten years and since I worked across the street from the Equitable I'd see him sometimes when out for lunch or just a walk. He always recognized me, which I thought was pretty amazing, and liked to sing out a greeting right there on the street. We'd trade jibes, which made the dental experience more relaxing. I'll miss his cheery voice!

I am so shocked to hear that Dr Jay passed. I had the pleasure of being a patient of his when I lived in Atlanta. Always enjoyed hearing him sing to me. Such a good all around person. My daughter, Erin, goes to Sarabess ; so she would always let me know how Dr Jay was doing. So Sara and family - Grieve it, then leave it. This farewell is just "till we meet again. Cherish your loved ones memory, but move forward and fulfill your divine destiny and purpose.

Doctor B was a talented dentist with a caring approach with his patients. Yet he was much more than that. The 25 years that I knew him, he was a charismatic executive who led his team and encouraged them. He was engaging with everyone and had a gift in remembering certain aspects of your interests or background that he would ask with interest and sincerity. Doctor B created a safe, warm, amusing, and entertaining dentistry especially while singing while making his way from patient to patient. In short, he was a friend and a beacon that patients and staff could look to for guidance, warmth, and take solace in. The light has now been extinguished here on earth, but I’m sure it burns bright in heaven and his memory is etched in our hearts. Doctor B - rest in peace, you will be missed.

God Bless Dr. Baumrind. I am completely shocked and heartbroken upon hearing the news of his passing. My first experience going to the dentist was with Dr Baumrind when I was 4-5 years old - in 1976. Over the many years of going for cleanings, the smell upon entering the office always made me queasy; but the smile, the care and the singing of Dr Baumrind always left me feeling happy. He was such a wonderful person to be around and made going to the dentist enjoyable. I will miss you dearly Dr Baumrind.
God Bless his family. God Bless his staff. My deepest condolences.

I'm heartbroken to hear this news. Dr. B had been my dentist since 2003 and I would never have thought it was possible, but he made me love going to the dentist! He loved his staff, patients and profession in a way that's rare now. He was always quick with a smile or a joke (or a song) and was a joy to be around. I'll miss him a lot, and my heart goes out to his family and friends.

Though I did not know Dr. Baumrind on a personal level, I was a patient of the practice for the past 9 years. Dr. Baumrind was such a positive character. From a patient's perspective, his energy permeated the office - even if I wasn't seeing him that day, I knew he'd pop in and offer some humorous, kind words that would inevitably brighten my day. Since moving out of state I have dreaded trying to find a replacement, knowing that other practices would not likely measure up compared to my experience with Dr. Baumrind and his family. My heart and deepest sympathies go out to his family and the entire practice. He will be sorely missed.

Dr. "J" was a great dentist and personal friend. I was shocked to hear the news today of his passing. We shared many things in common including our alma mater, Henry W. Grady High School. Having been a patient since 1982, Jeff always had a pleasant smile and upbeat when others were down... cheerful and always striking up a tune when checking-in for appointments. May God bless Dr. "J" and the Baumrind family going forward.

Dr. B was a lovely man! He was so full of life, song & good conversation! He loved his work and truly cared about his patients! He was so proud of the success of my crown lengthening that he insisted I do not only for my oral health, but to ensure that my gummy smile didnt deter possible suitors should my husband leave me! He was always the same enjoyable person for the more than 20 years I was his patient & I only wish we had another 20 years! I just cant believe hes gone & my heart aches for our loss and for his familys loss!
