Jesse SHELANDER Obituary
Family-Placed Death Notice
SHELANDER, Jesse C. Rev. Jesse C. Shelander passed away on October 12, 2012 following a lengthy battle with cancer. Rev. Shelander is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty, along with a daughter and son, two grandsons, two great-grandsons, two great -granddaughters, and one great- grandson, as well as many extended family members and friends. Funeral service will be at Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna Monday 11:00 am, October 15, 2012. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-5 pm at the Funeral Home. The family request that donations be made to Vinings First Baptist Church in lieu of flowers.

Betty, I only heard today of Jesse's passing,I was out of town over the weekend. I am so sorry for your loss, but we know that he is in a better place and no pain. Love to your family.

I was so sad to hear of the death of Jess. I have appreciated his gentle spirit and the love he gave to my family. He was a wonderful neighbor and friend. And of course, a great man of God. My love and prayers to Betty and all the Shelander family.
