GOEPP, Katherine McNeill "Kathy" Katherine (Kathy) McNeill Goepp died peacefully on February 11, 2018 in Marietta, Georgia at the age of 60. Kathy is survived by her husband of 35 years, Edward F. Goepp, Sr., her 3 children, Eddie Goepp, Jr. (Rebecca) of Atlanta, Georgia; Kenny (Brittany) Goepp of Atlanta, Georgia; Danny (Mandy) Goepp of Tiburon, California; her brother, Bill McNeill, 3 nephews and 3 precious grandchildren (with one more on the way). She is preceded in death by her parents William and Bitsie McNeill. Kathy was born on February 4, 1958 in Laurinburg, North Carolina. She grew up in both North Carolina and Florida. She eventually moved to Atlanta, where she would meet the love of her life. She married Edward (Ned) F. Goepp, Sr, in 1983. The couple welcomed three sons and Kathy devoted herself to her family. Kathy will be remembered always for her beautiful blue eyes, her infectious warmth, loving spirit and her steadfast faith. Kathy's greatest legacy is in the family that she raised and in the dear friendships she cultivated. Those honored to know and love Kathy will be forever grateful for the impact she had on our lives. Her family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her illness, particularly the team at Emory's Winship Cancer Institute and WellStar Tranquility Hospice. A service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church Sanctuary in Marietta with Dr. Dave Mayo and Rev. Keith Gunter officiating. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in memory of Kathy to the Bible Study Fellowship's Global Impact Fund or the Winship Cancer Institute.
