Although time has separated us as well as life directions, I always will consider you my big brother. As kids and young adults you were always there for me. Never had to worry about anyone when you were around. I truly feel awful about your passing. Hard to imagine you are not here. I loved you Keith and I always will. RIP . All my sympathy to Sue, Kelsey and Kristen...

So sorry to hear the saddest news. Keith was one of my favorite guys in High School. A wonderful person who made me laugh, my fondest memories are spending time with him in Long Beach and when we were freshmen in College I took a train from Milwaukee, Wisconsin (Marquette) to St. Louis to visit him at St. Louis U. I'll never forget the YES concert at Checkers Arena. Sending ❤ and healing to his wife and children. Keith will live on in your hearts forever.

We're all still disoriented, as keith breathes no more. But his was a life well lived , with many good times and few , if any regrets. Such a gentleman with an ease and a spirit of purpose. My earliest memory of Keith was of him at a party at his home on the hill, Dagget Ave. I believe. With all his St. Louis University friends , and his beloved Sue. He had much to accomplish thereafter, and onward they went. Sometimes far flung but always in touch, it is my belief that the Steinbrechers always considered St. Louis home, with all that implies. I know that he was most proud of his daughters Kristen and Kelsey, and for all their hopes and dreams, as well as accomplishments. Their grief is heavy, still look to each other to lessen the burden. Time will carry you along.

A piece of my heart has been taken. I cant stop crying. Keith was as close to me as my brothers. His 3 most cherished words were.....Sue, Kelsey and Kristin. Those words were his world.
Im a better human being because of him. He will always be a part of my DNA.
Ill miss him forever. Hopefully my sorrow will pass. I have my doubts .

I met Keith through a dear friend, who was one of Keith's very best friends (Mike Donohue). We spent much of our HS summers running all around Long Island - mostly Nassau County - playing basketball, going to Jones Beach, Long Beach, Lido, & Pt. Lookout.
What I remember most about Keith was his ability to have strong goals for his future but he never let them interfere with our fun times. He was able to be very easy-going but never lost sight of the serious aspects of life. He knew when to have fun and buckle down when needed.

He will be deeply missed...God Bless & keep You, Keith...
