We just found out about Kurt's passing today! My heart goes out to Nancy and the kids. I know they must have been devastated and are still trying to make sense of it.
We have since moved out of the neighborhood, but Nancy if y'all need anything please feel free to call us.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Kurt's death. I worked with Kurt early in his legal career when he was an assistant district attorney in the DA's office in Dalton, GA. He spent alot of time with my wife, 2 year old son and I at our home. My son, Kyle, referred to Kurt as his big brother. RIP my friend.

You're in our prayers, Mike, Judy, Tony and Kurt's beautiful family. You raised a fine man who helped me and many others and his dry sense of humor made tough times feel hopeful. Much love to you all.

I litigated against Kurt years ago when he was at DMQ and still wet behind the ears. The experience in dealing with him left me thankful that the young folks coming into the family law Bar were people of good character, with a sense of professionalism and decency. I do not remember the outcome of our case, but I do remember that dealing with Kurt was a pleasure. As a lawyer and, even at my age, a fellow cyclist, I bid you adieu, Kurt. God speed.

Very sad to hear about Kurt's passing. I have very fond memories of him as a law school classmate and count him as one of the few friends I made in law school. My condolences and prayers to his wife and children and other family members.

I first got to know Kurt and his family from the neighborhood pool where our kids were on the swim team. It wasn't until I returned to work several years later that I realized what a well-respected member of the family law bar he was. His self-effacing personality and lazy grin belied what a formidable presence he was in the family law community. He will truly be missed.

Kurt was the guiding force through one of the toughest times in my life. An "unflappable temperament" is the perfect description. That sly smile. That warming confidence. He will be missed!

Kurt has been a good friend and close advisor for more than 8 years. He lit up a room when he entered. He always had an easy smile and a quick wit that put everyone at ease. He loved his children and we spoke of our kids together often. He will be sorely missed.

Kurt always shared his children's lives with others. He was so proud of them and of his wife. Our friendship started as opposing counsel, but blossomed into more as the years passed. He was great to talk to, especially when we talked about our families. He is missed by so many, and I hope his family finds peace knowing how admired and loved he was by all.
