I still fondly remember Dr. Bauman from the time he and my mother, Jackie Souder, were in Windsor House at Brandon Wilde. I always enjoyed speaking with him, his friendliness, his smile, and kindness.

Larry was my pastor while I was at Candler School of Theology. He also taught a class on preaching. I still treasure his thoughtful sermons and remember wise counsel in his preaching class. He was a role model for many of us. I am grateful for the influence he had and has on my life and ministry. Watching him weekly at Glenn taught me much about presiding at worship. Thank you, Lord, for your faithful servant.

My mother, Jackie Souder, moved to Windsor House several months ago. I had opportunities to visit with your daddy almost every time I visited Mother. Often he sat in the common area and I stopped and said hello. He was just so kind and friendly and he always looked so nice . One Sunday afternoon I saw him wearing his jacket and asked if he had been somewhere. He told me no but that he was going to dinner. I loved that he enjoyed looking nice.
When I 1st met him, I asked what kind of medicine he practiced. He told me he was a pastor, and I told him that was even better and he said he thinks so. I will miss his sweet presence there and so will my mother.

The Bauman family has been more than important to the Glanton family over the years.
My dear friend, Pastor Larry Bauman, arrived with his family at the Carrollton, GA First Methodist Church in 1968 when the Glantons started our residency there as well. Since Martha´s passing preceded Larry´s by a few years, I once again have the privilege of representing the Glantons at Larry´s Memorial Service on August 13. Seeing their children on both Memorial Service occasions fills me with many pleasant and life long memories of Larry and Martha and their family.
Needless to say, my life has been enriched by these memories over the years.
May God bless the Bauman family always!
