She corresponded with me about both soaps and even CALLED ME PERSONALLY many times and talked to my mom who was ill herself back then, about the shows. She was the sweetest person and loved all the fans of the soaps. God Bless you Lee, say hello to my mom up there. We will miss you.

My sincere condolences to the family of Lee Phillip Bell. I am the surviving daughter of Rae Hansen Kendrick (1933-2017). Rae and her sister Karen grew up with Bill Bell, in Countryside, IL. They both had the pleasure of visiting Bill and Lee just before Bill died in their Hollywood home. She remembered the visit as a wonder--full regalia went out for a short visit! Lee was always so gracious. My mom, Rae exchanged Christmas cards and phone conversations for many years. I grew up watching Lee on TV. Thanks to Lee and Bill for entertaining us for years with Young and the Restless.

Lee was a remarkable woman My father was a guest on her "Friendship Show" on channel 2 in '57. She had the grace and elegance and respect for her audience and guests. She sent me a card 12 years ago. And she and her late husband were brilliant producers of soap operas.

My condolences to her sons and daughter.

I remember Lee well from my days teaching at Latin School of Chicago, where her children attended. I knew Lauralee and her husband Scott and have been impressed with their work in LA.
Although I never knew Lee as a friend, I knew of her wonderful reputation in Chicago and my Mother told me she listened to Lee on the radio while living in Chicago. My condolences to Lauralee and Scott and the members of Lee's family. She leaves a tremendous legacy through her children and her work.
