I wish to add my condolences. Lisa touched many parts of the public health community in her years at CDC. My fondest memory, however, is not of Lisa at work, but of Lisa at her home on the pond, proudly showing off her little piece of the natural world--especially the tiny frogs--and delighting in watching my toddler play with them.

Peace to all.

On behalf of Lisa's colleagues and friends in CDC's Division of Tuberculosis Elimination, we extend our heartfelt condolences. We are deeply saddened by her death, and remember her as a bright and accomplished physician-scientist with a clear commitment to public health ... and one who always sought to make a difference to improve the well-being of fellow human beings.
