Logan Bleckley Obituary
Family-Placed Death Notice
BLECKLEY, Logan, III Logan Bleckley III of Atlanta, GA passed away on July 5th, 2008 after an extended illness. He was born in Atlanta in 1924 the son of Anne Donalson and Logan Bleckley, Jr. He attended Marist, Georgia Tech and the High Museum of Art graduating with a degree in Bachelor of Fine Arts. He enjoyed a long and productive career both in the field of commercial art and as a free-lance artist. Mr. Bleckley was an accomplished musician and at one time in his career he taught piano and frequently played for various church functions at the First Presbyterian Church where he was a lifelong member. Mr. Bleckley is survived by his cousins Carson Pearce and Douglas Pearce of Atlanta. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 10th at 10:00 a.m. at Westview Cemetery with a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta. A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home of Decatur is in charge of arrangements.
