In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Barry and family - I was so-o-o sorry to hear of your loss. I'll always remember LuAnn as the 20-something "Vanna" of Northgate Travel and the funny "incident" we had on the way to visit you one weekend ages ago before y'all were married. Even though we lost contact, I would think of her often and get news of her through mutual friends every now and then. My heart is with you and your children, Barry.

I never met LuAnn personally but for many years she was the person at the Atlanta Falcons who credentialed me so I could cover the games for our network. She was always friendly and cheery to me and couldn't have been nicer. I was shocked and saddened when I read about the loss to her family. My thoughts are with your family

Dear Barry, Kristen, Clark, The Clark family & Stanaland family,

I used these words to describe LuAnn to someone who didn't know her but had been praying for her. If you met LuAnn and didn't fall in love with her then you didn't have a pulse. What an amazing friend....I am so blessed to have had my life touched by such an amazing woman. I will forever cherish the precious memories and will never forget that gorgeous smile and how LuAnn always made everyone feel so special. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Stanaland and Clark Families,

Oh how we have been blessed by your stalworth faith, consistency and love! We grieve the loss of LuAnn but rejoice knowing that LuAnn is the Lord's. This is truly the meaning of life: to come to this world and to fall in love with our Savior, Jesus Christ, to share the good news of His love by our very lives and then to know that we will be with God forever. LuAnn lived the real "good life".

The Word says "blessed are those that die in the Lord, their works do follow them." LuAnn's godly legacy will live on! Thank you for sharing her with us.

Dearest Barry, Kristen and Clark,

LuAnn was truly my HERO!! We laughed and cried together for 9 years over her illness and yet she never gave up and never waviered in her faith that God would heal her one day! I know she is healed and truly at peace now with Jesus in heaven. She is eating lots of Mexican food and loving every minute of it!! I valued our friendship beyond measure and she would ALWAYS brighten my day everytime we spoke to one another. She will be greatly missed and admired forever!! Stay firm in your faith and know that she loved each of you more than words can express. I am very grateful to have had shared a friendship with such a remarkable woman!!! I love you all and will be there for each of you anytime just as I had promised LuAnn I would!! Much love,

Sometimes there are people that pass through your life, maybe for only a moment, but they touch the very best part of you and you are a better person because of it, even thought it was like a snowflake melting in your hand, you will never give that moment away. LuAnn was like that. A Touch in Time.

LuAnn was a wonderful person. I was lucky enough to have met her when I took her position in media relations at the Atlanta Falcons in 2002. Even though she was battling cancer, she always had a smile on her face and a positive outlook on life. She truly was an inspiration. This is a very sad day for a lot of people now that she is gone. She truly will be missed.
