Family-Placed Death Notice

MEDORI, Mary Teresa Greenville, SC. Mary Teresa Medori, 90, of Greenville went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, November 17, 2009. Born in New York City, NY on May 4, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Onofrio Macario and Maria Crezania Savino Macario. She was a retired nanny and also a retired sales clerk at Macy's Department Stores. Mrs. Medori was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, Mauldin Senior Center and Senior Action. Surviving are two sons, Eugene Medori, Jr. and his wife Claudia of Stone Mountain, GA and Steven Medori and his wife Anne of Argo, AL; daughter Francine Franke and her husband Tim of Greer, SC; sister Phyllis Szybinski and her husband Julian of Fair Lawn, NJ; seven grandchildren, Joe Medori, Amanda Hallauer, Melissa and Michele Medori, Allison, Kyle and Josh Franke; and a great-grandson Leonel Hallauer Medori. Mrs. Medori was known by her family as a loving mother and grandmother. She was so proud of all of her grandchildren and very excited about the recent arrival of her great-grandson. The family would like to thank the staff at Greenville Place Assisted Living and St. Francis Eastside Hospital for the care they provided their mother. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 27th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 301 University Ridge, Greenville, SC 29601
