CAMPBELL, McCoy McCoy ("Mack") Clempson Campbell, III 1918/2-26-2011 A native of Spring Hill, Tenn., Mr. Campbell was a graduate of Vanderbilt University and the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University. He was a member of KA order. As a faculty member for HR management, he taught at Rutgers University, University of Wisconsin, Louisiana State University, Vanderbilt University, and the American Bankers' Association National Graduate School of HR, becoming Dean in 1987. He was known nationally as a speaker whose messages were both pertinent and humorous. He served a tour of duty as a lieutenant in anti-aircraft artillery from 1942-46. Mr. Campbell was past President of the Georgia Personnel and Guidance Association, a former Director and Chairman of the Personnel Committee of National Assoc. of Bank Auditors and Comptrollers. His interest in literature and drama led to critical reviewing of books for the Chattanooga Times for 20 years, and for movies on WDEF-TV in Chattanooga. His interest were many, singing with a swing band in his early years of marriage. He is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Josephine McHenry Campbell, and survived by his daughters, Luci Newton of Rock Hill, S.C., and Laura and Sandy Peyton of Decatur, Ga.; granddaughters Laura Peabody and Emily and Steve Johnson of Rock Hill, S.C. and Josie Peyton of Atlanta, Ga.; and three great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 Sat. 3-5-2011 in the chapel of A.S.Turner & Sons. Rev. Harold Hoffman will officiate. There will be a visitation at 11:00 prior, and a celebration following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Metropolitan Hospice.
