GREGORY, Michael Michael Eugene Gregory, age 50, of Lawrenceville, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2010. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Gregory; daughter and son in law, Lauren and Jarrod Oxendine, of Lawrenceville; son, Scott Gregory, of Lawrenceville; daughter, Caroline Gregory, of Lawrenceville; parents, Greg and Margo Gregory, of Snellville; grandmother, Grace Calabrese, of Warren, PA; brother, Mark Gregory, of Oxford, GA; sister and brother in law, Beth and Randy Miller, of Covington; uncles and aunts, Michael W. and Sally Gregory, of Bemus Point, NY, and Gary and Shirley Gregory, of Richardson, TX; aunts, Betty Schreck, of Lakewood, NY, and Marlene Ferraloro, of Lakewood, NY; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mike was truly an angel of the Lord and contributed so much to so many and touched so many people's lives in a positive way. Whether by assisting family and friends with building projects or home repairs, catching one up to date with the latest advances in everyday technology or simply offering advice and counsel, Mike was always the first to lend a helping hand. Mike was truly an inspiration and example of how one should serve and lead their everyday life. We all have been privileged and honored to come to know this man of God. Mike was an employee of Southern Company for over 20 years, taking his first job in the warehouse while going to school at night and ultimately working his way up to the executive level. In his spare time, when not helping others, Mike enjoyed hunting, exploring the latest in gadget technology and spending leisure time with family and friends. A devoted family man, Mike always put the needs of his family at the forefront of his personal needs and loved to spend hours upon hours of quality family time. Mike has spent countless hours over the years volunteering for community organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club and the Shakespeare Festival. A donation fund for Mike's daughter, Caroline's college fund has been set up at Powerco Credit Union. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 2PM at Smokerise Baptist Church, 5901 Hugh Howell Road, Stone Mountain, GA, 30087. Rev. Ernie Forrester will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday, October 1, 2010 from 6PM until 9PM at Grace Fellowship Church, 1400 Dogwood Road, Snellville, GA, 30078.
