I had the pleasure of getting to know Micheal during my senior internship at Sterling. He constantly made me laugh always peeking around a corner with his sparkling blue eyes and a grin ear to ear. During veterans gym Micheal brought so much laughter and life to the group. Learning about Micheal's life was mesmerizing and his impact will never be forgotten. I miss hearing Micheals sweet voice singing in Russian or hearing him whistle waiting for my whistle back. Micheal used to call me the weird girl (in jest) as term of endearment which I take on with pride. So Micheal from the weird girl I miss you from the bottom of my heart I hope you can hear me when I whistle.
God bless Micheal and the entire Kovalsky family. <3

Met Mike when he was teaching all of us at Dekalb College how to be a better citizen and person. His stories and memories of his military life experiences were wonderful to listen to although his modesty make them hard to come by. He was so proud of graduating from West Point and told me on my visit there that I was on hallowed ground! His love of his family brought him much joy. Mike's loss of Jenny was a terrible blow to him and told me once he would see her again when it was his time to go; well Mike, you and Jenny are together again and I'm sure it was a joyful reunion!
Semper Fi old friend!
