Michael WALSH Obituary

WALSH, Michael Michael Blaine Walsh, age 65, of Lilburn, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2014. Mr. Walsh is survived by his loving wife, Carol; daughters, Victoria, and her husband Luther Enloe, and Sarah, and her husband Chad Mallory; son, John Michael Walsh; grandchild, Cole Enloe; mother, June Ann McClure Walsh; brothers, Richard Walsh, John Walsh, Bryan Walsh, David Walsh; sisters, Patricia Walsh Sawyer and Victoria Walsh Rose; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Walsh was preceded in death by his father, Blaine Luke Walsh; sister, Mary Katherine Walsh Garner; and brother, Blaine Henry Walsh. Mr. Walsh was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin. After serving in Vietnam aboard the USS Coral Sea, he returned to Atlanta, Georgia, to join his parents. For 40 years he worked in the bearings and drives industry and earned the respect of others in the field. He loved being a father and a grandfather. In his retirement, he volunteered at Lilburn Middle School, where he served as a mentor. Mr. Walsh was very involved in St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid golfer and a passionate Atlanta Braves fan. A funeral Mass for Mr. Walsh will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014, at 10:30 A.M. at St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church, 5373 Wydella Road, Lilburn, Georgia 30047. Memorial contributions can be made in Mr. Walsh's name to, St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church or Gentiva Hospice Foundation, 7801 Mesquite Bend, Suite 105, Irving, Tx 75063.
