Family-Placed Death Notice
Graveside services for Mildred M. Joiner of Monroe, will be held on Thursday at 11:00 in Butler Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Joiner passed away on Monday, April 26, 2004 at Walton Medical Center. She was born on January 12, 1919 in Taylor County, GA, having resided in Monroe, GA for the past 14 years. She was the widow of the late Lawrence L. Joiner. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Monroe and a former member of the Butler United Methodist Church having taught Sunday School and was a Circle Leader. Mrs. Joiner attended Valdosta Womens College and graduated from Georgia Southwestern College in Americus. Survivors include; a daughter, Carolyn Joiner Childers and her husband, William R. Childers, Jr. of Monroe, GA; several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Monroe, GA and Magnolia Manor of Americus. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 4 to 6 pm.Edwards Funeral Home of Butler is in charge of arrangements.
