FRIED, Milton Dr. Milton Fried, z"l, of Atlanta died September 28, 2010. Beloved husband of Ann, father of Emily Brenner (Robert), Linda Czuper (Lester), Deborah Rubin (Jeff), Joe Fried (Terry) and Max Fried. Brother of Helen (Leonard). Grandfather of Daniel Sherwinter (Karli), David Mlaver, Eli Mlaver, Zach Brenner, Josh Czuper (Liz), Jake Czuper (Chani), Max Czuper, Benjamin Rubin, Alexander Rubin, Samuel Rubin, Sophie Fried, Noah Fried, Nicole Fried, Jonah Fried. Great-Grandfather of Kayla Sherwinter, Reuben Sherwinter, Eliyahu Czuper, and Phinn Czuper. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Milton Fried (Moshe ben Mordechai) served in the military during World War Two. A graduate of New York University, he held a baccalaureate degree and a degree in chiropractics. He attained a medical degree from UCLA in 1968. He married his beloved wife Ann in 1950 and the couple had five children, 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Their home was filled with love. Medicine, music and the Jewish people were Milton's passions. He was active in the Zionist movement as a teenager and lived in Israel during several periods of his life. During Israel's 1973 Yom Kippur War, Milton took care of the medical needs of Israel's northern kibbutzim. He continued to be involved with Jewish life and supported many institutions and organizations in the United States and Israel. He delighted his family not just by sharing his broad range of musical recordings, but with his performances on the piano, drums and harmonica. Milton was a gifted physician who sought new ways to cure disease. He is responsible for saving the lives of thousands of people who others could not save. Dr. Fried was the most amazing doctor I have ever known. He saved me and had my health back. All other doctors just wanted to give me drugs. I miss him so much...

Dr.Fried was an amazing doctor. He helped my daughter, Tara Raffield. I also was his patient and knowledge of healing was a gift. We loved Dr. Dried. My daughter had also passed at the age of 48, in 2016. I have missed Dr. Fried greatly .

I met Dr. Fried at an AIPAC Conference in Washington DC in 1983, we sat at the same table during the proceedings for 2 days, and he shared many stories and insights with me. What a fascinating and inspiring man he was, and such a lover of the Jewish people, Israel, and their history! I did not have an opportunity to meet him again, but just recently used the internet to check up on him. Reading his 2010 obituary, I see I only scratched the surface of the greatness of his life, especially as a healing doctor and loving family man. May he rest in peace, may his memory always be a blessing, and I know one day we will strike up our conversations again in a better place.

I only had the opportunity of knowing Dr. Fried for a short time, but realized right away what a very special, kind and warm gentleman he was. He made the world a better place and his passing is a great loss. I give honor to him for his kindness and for his life of service to others. I love, appreciate and thank God for him. Till we meet again - God be with you.

Thirty years ago, I came to Dr. Fried a fragile 96 pounds. He treated me for severe allergies. May 2010, I once again visited Dr. Fried for a physical and received a good health report. In my heart I knew this was our last meeting. I expressed my grattitude to him then and some how I knew this was closure. He was not only my physician, but at times took on the role of a father figure for me.
In Gainesville, Ga., my parents and I owned a health food store. Dr. Fried helped many of our customers.
My father had a hobby in which he rebuilt a theatre pipe organ. Dr. Fried and I discussed music since I am also a music teacher. My only regret is that he never got to visit our store and see and play the organ. His schedule was busy.
To Dr. Fried's family, I would like to humbly thank you all for sharing him with the public all of these years! He left a proud legacy to his family. I will miss him in this world and hope to see him in the next.

I just found out about Dr. Fried's death, so wanted to add my thoughts to the guest book. I had the pleasure of being treated by Dr. Fried after both of my pregnancies when I developed allergies. He was such a caring doctor, and always treated me with respect. I remember waiting for Dr. Fried because he made time to talk to each patient. The wait was worth it! Dr. Fried was a true healer who was ahead of his time. My sympathies to the family. I am sure he is missed every day.

Dr. Fried was an answered prayer for me. When I was 11 years old doctors wanted to remove my colon. Dr. Fried took a different approach than other doctors and I became symptom free within two weeks. I will always be so thankful for the man Dr. Fried was. He just wanted to help everyone in anyway he could. When I went away to college we would have phone conferences and he just wanted to guide my health and my life in the right direction. What a good man. Grateful to be able to call him a friend.

Dr. Fried saved me! When all other doctors shrugged off my symptoms and merely prescribed drugs, Dr. Fried diagnosed me with severe food allergies and literally saved me. My body had not worked properly for years but thanks to Dr. Fried, I am pain-free, inflammation-free, and I feel 20 years younger. I will truly miss him. Shalom.

Dr. Fried was my primary physician for over 30 years and treated the illness, not the symptom. He always spoke his family - he was so proud of all of them. We will miss him so much. Our love and prayers to his family and friends.

Dr. Fried was a friendly neighbor and loved asking about my son. He always took time to let my son play with his little dog. And he never missed a chance to tell us how beautiful our son is. I will miss seeing him drive by and wave to us. Our love and prayers are with Annie and family.

I will always remember Dr. Fried with great affection and appreciation. His intellect and curiosity coupled with his healing talents made him a giant among physicians. May his beliefs and practices in the healing of patients carry on in the field of medicine. He is truly irreplacable and was a huge positive presence in my life. With deepest condolences to his family and friends.

Dr. Fried was at the forefront of medicine, and he was also a friend and fellow pilgrim on life's journey. He was a man of principle as well as intellect. Dr. Fried took an interest in and demonstrated respect for the whole person -- physcial, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual. He will be greatly missed.

Dr Fried was a wonderful doctor who really cared about healing people. He helped me with my allergies and cured my asthma when no other doctor could help me. He was a very intelligent man and I always injoyed talking with him and listening to his stories about medicine, life and healing. I have been a patient of doctor Fried's for 15 years and I will really miss him. He was one of a kind!
My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

He was a father figure to me. He made me feel loved and appreciated. He helped me take care of my children when I was at a loss and couldn't get help anywhere else. He loved my children. He was our family doctor for 20+ years. I feel like I know his family as he talked about them so much. He will be so very missed!

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. Not only is Dr. Fried responsible for returning me to health in my late teens, it was a pleasure working with him at the clinic after I graduated nursing school. He was indeed a gifted and brilliant man.

May the God of Abraham grant you peace and comfort as he promises to bring back to life those who have died in his vast memory; and how much more so someone who lived his life to save the lives of others. (Isaiah 26:19)

Dr. Fried is not only responsible for saving my quality of life, he is the reason I was able to become a doctor myself. I was having migraines every day for 7 years and it was only after he completed food allergy testing that I was able to become headache free and continue my graduate studies. He directed me to Georgia School of Professional Psychology where I completed my doctorate in psychology / neuropsychology. Through the years he helped me to become healthier, encouraging a good diet, exercise, and removal of toxins such as mercury amalgams. His practice was a warm and inviting place, like visiting family, and eventually he became a father figure to me. We had a mutual respect for each other's work and character. He was a man of integrity who cared very much for his patients. I will miss our conversations about medicine, religion and life. He has made a huge impact on my life and I hope I can emulate him in my own work with patients. He will be greatly missed in the community. To the family, I am so sorry for your loss. He loved his family so much- he talked about all of you. His wife, his children and grandchildren. He was so proud and felt so blessed to have you all! He was truly a great man and one of a kind. You are in my thoughts and prayers. - Rachel Lacy, Psy.D.
