I couldn´t wait for Saturday night´s to come because I knew Mr. Faulkner was going to be on the radio! I´d go to my car, knowing that whoever he was going to interview was going to be a good time and boy he never let me down. He loved music and it showed. Anyone that he spoke to would never get too deep/answer questions like they did with Mr. Faulkner. Musicians loved his spirit!! And I have met many stars but I never was star struck until the day I met him. It was at a concert in Atlanta- when they announced that Mr. Faulkner was present, I immediately told my girlfriends omg-the best DJ is here which they looked at me crazy because I was so giddy. When the Whispers came on, he made a comment that even music buffs like me might not even know- I persisted and asked him who are you to know that kind of musical knowledge and when he announced who he was, I was screaming to my friends like a mad woman!! I could tell he never experienced anyone being star struck with him as I was. I told him that listening to him on the radio gave me so much joy which it did and I appreciated him so much; he gave me a look and granted me a big smile. I´m sure that his loved ones miss him so much as I do on the radio but I know he´s enjoying all kinds of music in heaven with our Lord and Savior. RIH Mr. Faulkner

I never met Mitch. However, he developed a beautiful email blast for my production. It was awesome and drew many to the event. What a talent. I know he is missed by those who knew him best.

Just came across this - had no idea.

The fondest memories of my early on air days in Atlanta Radio involve this man to a great extent, a great radio & production studio colleague. I have always appreciated what I learned in techniques from Mitch, Arvester and On Mic Productions - highly creative & productive times spent time with our media associates voicing local promotions, commercials, etc and among the first using their ground-breaking technologies for hosting pre-recorded show segments on various radio stations in multiple states simultaneously (voice tracking). I hadn´t seen or talked to Mitch in years since but was keeping up from time to time online, then one day while I was doing Signature Voice Work downtown, we bumped into each other at Radio One Atlanta (2016) & took a huge smiling selfie together. I am most grateful for that now, having just learned of his passing which has hit hard. RIP brother Mitch! Condolences to Arvester, his immediate family, all loved ones, friends, relatives & colleagues.

Giving Honor to God who is the head of my life! Thank God for his Awesome Gift to the World of Radio. Mitch Faulkner. The first time I heard his voice on the radio was back during the 70's -WIGO Radio. By 79' while a student at Atlanta Technical College my former Child Development Instructor Flora Hawkins heard me sing , and suggested that I meet her then neighbor "Mitch" as she so fondly referred to him. However, due to his busy schedule it didn't happen until 2008. Mitch was attending an event at the Atrium. During that encounter, I was involved in an internet business called "Smooth Atlanta " Radio. He greeted me, then we began
talking about music/ radio. Mitch gave me some sound advice in regard to advertising on smaller stations. I am so grateful for his kindness, knowledge, and willingness to share. May God bring even Greater comfort to the "Faulkner Family" through others, and his Divine love for Mitch first!

In the spirit of McCarolls Hill Homecoming ... We couldn't wait to go and you all couldn't wait for us to get there. Celebrating our God, our legacy and our future. "BIG FUN!" As is our custom, we are now saying, hollering, our "goodbyes.' But, When We All Get To Heaven, what rejoicing ... "Big Fun," that will be! In my thoughts and prayers.

It was a pleasure knowing you, Mitch. You visited when you were in Arizona some years ago and we also engaged at various group events in the Snellville area when I was in GA. I still remember you entertaining my daughter and your granddaughter at my cousin's 50th birthday. You took some great photos there and at past get-togethers of friends and family. I will cherish the opportunity to have known you and I'm grateful for the experience. Rest in peace, Mitch. You are home now.

So sorry to hear about the loss of Mitch. He was a great dude. I hadn't spoken with him in years but I will always remember how he helped me when I first moved to Atlanta as a budding recording artist and musician. I was privileged to do a Jingle for Mitch and his "Blue Lights in the Basement House Party" radio program! I was very proud of that! I still have the "cassette" of it, I will play it every chance I get!...Thanks Mitch for your professional guidance, your humble spirit, your contribution to radio, the community and the world! You set the tone and I'm sure your works will live on through others and through the lives you've touched! Prayers for the family! R.I.P. my friend!...From Steve Dawson...
