Family-Placed Death Notice

TEPPER, Neil NEIL TEPPER Neil Tepper of Honolulu, Hawaii, died January 2, 2012, of complications from pneumonia. He was 69. Neil was born October 18, 1942, in Jersey City, NJ. He arrived in Hawaii in 1969, took detours to Los Angeles and Atlanta before returning to Hawaii 3 years ago. Neil worked in a wide range of creative fields: author of "Prescriptions for Living a Creative Life", as a songwriter, he collaborated with the late Eddie Horst of Atlanta, was an award-winning photographer, and hosted "The Creativity Salon" on local Atlanta radio. In his business career, Neil was a creative executive with The Coca Cola Company, Universal Television, and the 1996 Olympic Games held in Atlanta. Neil was a Life Coach, and as a member of the Hawaii Kai Toastmasters, won first place in the Western Division, Neil's only surviving family is his loving sister, Barbara Tepper Leeds, of Aventura, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hawaii Community Foundation, 827 Fort Street Mall, Honolulu, HI 96813, c/o the Neil Tepper Scholarship Fund.
