Family-Placed Death Notice
BROWN, Oretha Homegoing Celebration for Oretha Nash Brown will be held Monday, December 23, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Light of Joy Word of Faith, 286 Highway 138 SW, Riverdale, GA. Rev. Frank Salters, pastor. Instate 10 AM. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the church at 10:30 AM on the day of service. She leaves to cherish her memories to a devoted husband of 39 years, Michael Brown, Sr.; 3 sons, Michael Brown Jr, Antonio Brown, and Carlos Brown; 6 grandkids, Autianna Brown, Mikayla Brown, King Brown, Pharaoh Brown, Mikenzie Brown, and Antonio Brown Jr.; sister, Shirley Abdallah (Bubba); brother, Julius Nash Jr. and a host nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles, and extended family. Today, public viewing will be from 12 Noon - 6 PM at Murray Brothers Cascade Chapel, 1199 Utoy Springs Rd. SW, Atlanta (404) 349-3000 www.mbfh.com.

I offer my sincerest condolences to you. Oretha and I worked together at SRMC. She was really laid back, funny, and had a great spirit. She loved talking about her sons and grandchildren. She will truly be missed.

To Mike & Family,
I was so shocked and sad to hear of Oretha (Jean) passing. I am remembering the last time I was in her company at our class reunion and the fun we had laughing and joking at our table. I am so sure the God has welcomed her into his arms and she is at rest. It can be so hard to face the new year without your loved one, but the love of family and friends can carry you through. Mike and sons,
Retha's passing from this earthly life into Eternal Life is glorious. Yet I thought we'd have a little more time to share her here on this side of Glory! The load is so heavy right now, but the Word promises that The Comforter will help us. Oretha absolutely believed in Him. Take Comfort in that knowledge. We miss her but we shall see her again.
