It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of our beloved Pam Host, age 70, of Cumming, Georgia. On December 2, 2025, she left this world to be with our savior, Jesus Christ.

She was a remarkable person who taught for over 30 years in the Dekalb County School System. She attended Headland High School in Atlanta, and she was a graduate of the University of West Georgia and Mercer University, where she received her Undergraduate and Masters degrees in Education. Throughout her life she was a role model for others. She was a tireless volunteer for many organizations. She was most passionate about her volunteer work around animal rights. She worked tirelessly for the Atlanta Humane Society and Furkids of Cumming, Georgia. She is beloved by many people and animals. She was a member of Tri-Delta Sorority, and has been a staunch supporter of the organization and her circle of fellow "sisters"

She is survived by her husband, Hal Host of Cumming, Georgia; her mother, Dot Simmons of Marietta, Georgia; brother, Gary Simmons of Mound, Minnesota (Liz); sister, Carol McMichen of Canton, Georgia; stepsons, Daniel and Michael Host; and niece, Kerianne Solberg of Mound, Minnesota; nephews, Alex McMichen of Marietta, Georgia and Zach Simmons of Mound, Minnesota; and her aunt, Linda Head of Jasper, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her father, Tommy Simmons.

A memorial service will be held March 22, 2026, at 1:30 PM, at Ingram Funeral Home, 210 Ingram Avenue, Cumming, Georgia, followed by a celebration of life at the Furkids Pavillion, 5235 Union Hill Road, Cumming, Georgia.
