Family-Placed Death Notice

CHADWELL, Paul Paul Rodney Chadwell, 64, died Thursday, January 31, 2008 in Savannah. Mr. Chadwell, a native of Stanford, KY was the sixth of seven children of the late Duff Eugene and Mabel Mae Mullins Chadwell. He was a 1961 graduate of Montgomery County High School in Mt. Sterling, KY and a veteran of the United States Navy in which he served from 1961 until 1965. The 1971 Graduate of the University of Kentucky earned a degree in Business Administration, was a retired self employed Cotton Commodity Broker and a former member of the New York Cotton Exchange, 1984-1987. He was proud and honored to have served on the Board of Directors of the New York Stock Exchange in 1987. From 1977 through 1988, he served with Dean Witter Reynolds as Vice President of the Commodities Department, Southeastern Division and was honored by the Company as the top Commodity Broker for the entire United States. He was the owner of Chadwell Cotton Company from 1995-2005. The communicant of St. James Catholic Church was a member of The Landings Club at Skidaway Island and a former member of The Cherokee Town and Country Club in Atlanta, GA. Mr. Chadwell is survived by his wife Susan Neale Chadwell of Savannah; daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle and David Bjork of Holland, MI, Diana and Matthew Brown of Somerset, NJ, Leslie and Christopher Moorman of Raleigh, NC; sons and daughters-in-law, Bryan and Lindsey Chadwell of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, James and Jenny Chadwell of Valley, AL, Duff and Jordan Chadwell of Atlanta, GA, Dane and Sunny Chadwell of Savannah, GA; brothers, William L. Chadwell of Nokomis, FL and Lloyd Chadwell of Louisville, KY; sister, Caroline Lancaster of Louisville, KY and eight grandchildren. Visitation: 6:00-8:00 PM Friday at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. Memorial Service: 10:00 AM Saturday at St. James Catholic Church. Express condolences at ajc.com/obits
