Family-Placed Death Notice
PILEWICZ, Peter Mr. Peter Gregory "Greg" Pilewicz of Fayetteville passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012. Greg was a member of the House of Representatives for 8 years and worked for the Department of Agriculture as the Director of Poultry Market News. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter George and Verma Louise Pilewicz and is survived by his wife, Helen Lewis Pilewicz; and family in Cochran, GA. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 11 o'clock in the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home in Fairburn, GA. Interment will be at Bowers Cemetery in Cochran, GA at 3 o'clock. Those wishing may send an online condolence at www.parrottfuneralhome.com. The family will receive friends Wednesday one hour prior to the service at Parrott Funeral Home and Crematory, 770-964-4800.

Greg was my neighbor on Plantation, he was older than me and but was always such a sweet guy to us younger kids. He was also an inspiration, so smart and talented. I remember being so proud of him when he served in the House of Representatives. May God Bless you Helen and keep his arms around you during this time. Rest in Peace Greg.

Greg left a big impression on me from our high school days! So smart! He was a few years older so I didn't know him well, but hearing of his passing hurts. One very good and very smart man - and much too young. I am so sorry.

Greg was a good friend, growing up around the corner from home on Bonner Road. My mother, who accompanied Greg on the french horn for AllState tryouts, died Fathers' Day.

I am so sorry to read about Greg. I remember him from what seems like years and years ago and remember that he was such a likeable person.
