David, I was sorry to hear of your dad's passing. From what I read, he had a very full life, what an amazing background and life he had. You are in our prayers.

I had the distinct privilege of being a student in 13 classes Bob taught at Ga Tech between 1957 an 1963. He was the most importnat influence on my professional mathematical life. I had the honor of trying to express my appreciation to him in a public lecture at Auburn in 1987 when Bob and Ernestine were both present. Bob was a wonderful man for whom I had deep affection. Like you, this is a sad week for me. May God bless you all.
