Robin Dale Fuller, age 65, passed away at her home in Dunwoody, GA on Thursday, April 2, 2009. She was born June 18, 1943, in Columbus, MS, the daughter of the late S.S. and Dorothy Dale. During her long career as an Atlanta educator, Robin taught thousands of young students, first at R.L. Robin was happiest when teaching her students whom she encouraged to be the best that they could be academically, athletically, and emotionally. She will always be remembered by her classes as an instructor who cared deeply for their welfare and development into well-rounded adults. In 1984, she received one of the first Woodward Awards for outstanding teaching, and last year was named recipient of the Lovett Alumni Award for Excellence in Teaching. Robin outlived her husband, Harold Fuller, by several years. Robin is survived by her beloved brothers, Doug Dale of Jackson, MS, and Richard Dale and his wife of Houston, TX, and a half brother, Bob Dale, of St. Petersburg, FL, four nieces and a nephew along with nine great-nieces and nephews complete Robin's close family. The funeral service will be held at Dunwoody United Methodist Church, 1548 Mt. Vernon Road, Dunwoody, at 2 pm, Sunday, April 5, 2009. Interment will follow in Ridgeland, MS on Monday. We have lost the best educator I have ever met, but more importantly, we have lost a truly lovely human being. Robin was so important in our children's lives, and probably one of the most caring teachers I have ever known. Long after graduation from Lovett, our children remembered "Mrs. Fuller" for the affection and love she gave them. I had the pleasure of being room mother on more than one occasion for Robin, and she was such a very special lady. Our family is saddened and send our heartfelt sympathy to each of her loved ones.

My entire family loved and adored Mrs. Fuller! She was so inspirational and kind. I always wanted her to be proud of me. She taught me so much more than textbooks in the 6th grade. I had the pleasure of seeing her about 3 years ago and she was still remembering stories about my family from the early 80s. God bless all of those who love her and especially her family.

Mrs. Fuller was full of light and she was quick to share an encouraging word to all of the students she taught and even to those she didn't teach. She brought joy to many lives and will be remembered with great love and respect.

I was in "Miss Dale's" very first class at Lovett. I was fortunate enough to keep up with her through the years. She was the difference between success and failure for me and, I am sure, many others. I will miss my friend!
