Family-Placed Death Notice
DOOLEY, Rosa L. ROSA L. DOOLEY Rosa L. Dooley, age 65, previously of Washington, GA passed away Saturday, January 22, 2011. She worked as a flight attendant for United Airlines for nearly 40 years after being one of the first African American stewardesses hired. Her Homegoing Service will be held on Friday, January 28, 2011 at 10 AM in our Cascade Chapel. Deacon Hilliard Lee, officiating. Interment City West Cemetery in Washington, GA. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the chapel at 9:30 AM on the day of the service. She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Dial and Morgan Dooley; 4 sisters, Glenda Lewis, Ann Cooper, Janice Conally, and Karlin Simmons; 1 brother, Taylor Washington; former husband, Kenneth Dooley; step daughter, Kimberly Dooley; other relatives and friends. TODAY, public viewing from 9 AM - 9 PM with Wake Service from 5:30 - 7 PM at Murray Brothers Cascade Chapel, 1199 Utoy Springs Rd SW (Corner of Cascade Rd. near I-285) 404-349-3000 mbfh.com.

To the Family of Lee,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss, but as we all know, God never makes a mistake. Of course, that does not lessen the pain, but she is in a better place now. Ann, I will never forget when you came to Atlanta and my children, my sister and I visited with you at Lee Lee's home and they played in the swimming pool. Many years ago. She was a beautiful person.

We were indeed saddened by the news of Lee Lee's passing. I remember her so well growing up in the Lexington Avenue section of Washington and knowing her for so many years. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time.

Jennifer, Morgan, Ann and Glenda I know that your heart is hurting because of the love that you have for Lee Lee remember the good times that you all shared together and that will keep you smiling. Lee Lee love you guys so much but she love God more she went to be with him and Mama Rose and if you wanted her to come back she would not because she is in a awesome place called Heaven. I want to express my deepest sympathy and prayers to the family. My memory of Rosa (Lee Lee) was when she was leaving for the the flight attendant job she was at my sister's house I was there with my typewriter and she sat down with me and showed me a phrase on the typewriter to help me with my typing that was something I never forgot about her. I was truly sad to hear of her passing.
